ah, sorry I'm an asshole for not writing more.
everything is still pretty much the same, but I'm busy. all of the time.
I've been getting really into Latins and bossas, and I think I'm going to take Portuguese next semester...if I can work it all out. I'm taking risks in singing and creating arrangements, which is really good for me. I'm getting more comfortable with everything. My teacher is kinda ehh. She never gives me feedback. I'll sing a tune through a few times and she'll go "yeah, yeah, this one's ready!" I would love for her to go indepth and look at what I'm doing and give me suggestions. I know I'm not doing it perfectly, so it would be fabulous if she would tell me something, anything.
I did well on mid terms. 1 point away from getting an A for vocal musicianship, got an "a very good job" on my rhythm class, A- for my piano, 100% on my theory exam, an a for ear-training (which apparently doesn't really mean anything), and I didn't have a midterm in my other classes. Its nice to know that my hard work is paying off.
I've seen Kara about 2389476928346 times, suz & sam came to visit last weekend, and my sister is coming in today, which is amazing. I've talked to Arie a few times, too. I wish it was as easy to see her as it is for Kara & I to see each other.
I'm loving the city, but I'm oddly really missing Ohio. Who'da thought? I can't wait to sit around on a comfy couch and do absolutely nothing and oh and watch tv. bad tv. for hours and hours. Thanksgiving will be really nice - less than 2 weeks away!
& New York weather is crazier than Cincinnati's. 3 weeks ago, it was cold as hell, and we were layering and I was wishing I had my cute winter coats. now its sunny and people are going out in sun dresses? hmm explain that one to me.
